Courses

"...I don’t know where to start to thank you enough for the most fantastic two days in the woods. When I asked the children on the way home in the car what was the best bit, and what they had enjoyed the most , their resounding answer was ALL of it!  You made us feel so welcome and your knowledge and understanding of what we wanted and what you taught us all was outstanding, I can’t thank you enough..."

Our courses are relaxed and go at a pace that is easy to follow. We have a “hands-on” approach and encourage every student to participate. Expect to enter into the experience! We are about having fun and learning to enjoy nature and the outdoors in a responsible, respectful way.

The bulk of our courses are held on just over 500 private estate acres of mixed woodland* in the Chiltern Hills near to Princes Risborough, Bucks. Our site is secure, has access to clean mains water, WC, wash-up facilities, ample parking and a covered classroom area: should the weather become hostile. (*Mixed woodland: this means a mix of broadleaf and evergreen trees.) The land we use offers many opportunities to learn and practice a broad spectrum of wilderness and bushcraft skills, including firelighting and tinder preparation, knife safety and use, shelter design and building. Every student will have the chance to slow down and get much closer to the natural world; especially on our Tracking and "Quiet" courses. We also have permissions to hold activities and Taster Courses at the Forestry Commission woods at Wendover. Directions via Streetmap to Wendover Woods (opens new window)

Please Note: From 1st July 2009 we have had to update our prices for all activities. These now supercede all previous/advertised prices, and will be held till April 6th 2010 where possible.
